Continuing to Check Pregnant Mothers

Since I have to take care of my own newborn baby, I am not helping mothers to deliver for the next few weeks. I don’t feel confident doing it. I will do it after I return from my maternity leave, when my baby is 3 months old. Even though I am on maternity leave, people still keep coming to my house. They want me to check their babies’ health. Some pregnant women also come to my house for check-ups. During the past month, I have checked 15 pregnant women in my house. Most live nearby, but few of them have come from the other village.

No Time for a Break

I decided to return home from the hospital the day after I gave birth to my son. I did not feel weak at all, so I wanted to go home early. Usually, mothers have to spend two nights at the hospital after giving birth normally and four nights if they have a caesarean section.
