Great Needs For Health Care

My village is located beside a river. People from the village use the river for their personal needs and then the children swim and play in the same water, which is not good for their health. It’s very common for the children here to get diarrhea, coughs, colds, fevers and pneumonia. So there is a lot of need for my services.

Last month, a mother named Masuda came to me because she was worried that her 6-month-old son Jishan had caught a cold. This was the second time it had happened, so she did not waste any time before coming to see me. It was good she did this. I evaluated Jishan’s breathing and could tell right away he had pneumonia. I gave the mother medicine and counseled her on how to take care of her son’s illness. Two days later I visited them at home and I was happy to see Jishan was breathing normally and feeling better.
