Special Visitors from the United States
It was a busy week. I held one courtyard session with the lactating mothers. We talked about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding up to 6 months and I showed them the right way to breastfeed. During one if my home visits, I found a baby boy suffering from diarrhea. I checked for danger signs, but fortunately he did not have severe diarrhea. I showed the mother how to make oral rehydration solution (ORS), gave her a few packs and advised her to feed the baby 20-40 teaspoons of ORS every time he defecates. When I made a follow-up visit, I was happy to find him playing in the yard! He was completely recovered! I also had two visitors from the United States this week. I liked them a lot! I took them on a tour of the village. They talked with the mothers and with me. They said they liked what we are doing here for the mothers and children. I feel honored and very good when people come visit and see my work.
