Great Needs For Health Care

My village is located beside a river. People from the village use the river for their personal needs and then the children swim and play in the same water, which is not good for their health. It’s very common for the children here to get diarrhea, coughs, colds, fevers and pneumonia. So there is a lot of need for my services.

My Commitment to the Community

I feel very responsible for the health of the people in my village. The project that originally funded my work has phased out, but I want to continue to serve the people here, so I got training from Save the Children on how to use a business approach to support the health services I provide. I’ve begun linking with the pharmacist and local grocery shops. I bought 500 Taka worth of medicines ($6.25) on a commission basis and I earned more than 200 Taka ($2.50) from selling the medicine to families who need it.
